  • I am doing a one name study of STINCHCOMB.  My Grandma was Bertha Stinchcomb & was born in Liverpool, West Derby and thought it would be nice to know more about the Stinchcomb family. This earliest Stinchcomb of this line that I came across was John Henry, on some documents I have Henry John who married a Sarah Purdy in November 1820.  He moved back to England, then onto Scotland.  Their son Henry William, his wife Janet Cunningham and at least two children moved back to Liverpool where William Henry and his wife Elizabeth Rowland Copestake had more children. Eventually, William came to Canada in 1912 with his sons while his wife and daughters came in 1914. Any contact from interested people or decendents are more than welcome to add their information and I will share what I have. Thanks Vivian
