from t/p/o Wood Ditton, Yeoman. Will dated 19th August 1709. Will mentions: daughters COLLIN & SHIPP whom each receive twenty shillings (6 months later). Son Walter PETTIT also to receive twenty shillings (6 months later). Son Gyles PETTIT to receive estate being in Kirtling, he is to maintain son John with all things necessary and pay him twenty shillings yearly from profits of lands. Gyles & John also to have all wearing clothes & linen. After all funeral expenses and debts paid off remaining money to be equally parted between four youngest children: Giles, Elizabeth, Sarah & John. Notes: daughter SHIPP relates to Mary SHIPP.
